Screen Wake Lock API browser support
Published
The Screen Wake Lock API lets a page ask the device to keep its screen on through navigator.wakeLock.request('screen'), which resolves with a WakeLockSentinel. The browser releases the lock when the document becomes hidden and fires release on the sentinel, so a page re-requests the lock on visibilitychange when it becomes visible again; request() rejects while the document is hidden or not fully active.
The table covers navigator.wakeLock.request('screen') and the WakeLockSentinel it returns, derived from MDN browser-compat-data. The iOS Safari range in which the lock did not work in Home Screen web apps is a row footnote.
