StorageManager.persist() browser support
Published Updated
navigator.storage.persist() asks the browser to protect the origin’s stored data (IndexedDB, Cache Storage, service worker caches) from automatic eviction under storage pressure. It resolves with true when persistence is granted; the browser may refuse based on its own heuristics, such as user engagement, and navigator.storage.persisted() reports the current state without requesting it.
The table covers the StorageManager interface as recorded in MDN browser-compat-data.
