Manifest orientation browser support
Published
The orientation manifest member sets the default screen orientation an installed web app launches and runs in, such as portrait or landscape, unless the page locks a different orientation at runtime. When the member is omitted or invalid, the app follows the device’s natural orientation and any user or system orientation settings.
The table covers the member as recorded in MDN browser-compat-data. A browser may support the manifest member without implementing the separate Screen Orientation API; the two are independent.
