manifest: id
Published
manifest: id — The id member specifies a unique, stable identifier for a PWA.
Before id, browsers used start_url to identify installed apps — meaning changing
start_url could make the browser treat the app as a new, different installation.
The id member decouples identity from the start URL.
{ "name": "My PWA", "id": "/my-app", "start_url": "/my-app/home", "display": "standalone"}If id is omitted, the browser defaults to the processed start_url (fragments are
stripped during id processing, but query strings are preserved). An explicit id must
be same-origin with the start_url.
