beforeinstallprompt browser support

Published

The beforeinstallprompt event fires when the browser judges a page installable. A page can call preventDefault() on it, keep the BeforeInstallPromptEvent, and later call prompt() from its own button to show the install dialog.

The table covers that event. Browsers without it install through a menu instead (the Share sheet on iOS, File > Add to Dock on macOS), as the row footnotes record.
