- For home-screen web apps; tied to notification permission.
- Firefox has no Badging API implementation; `navigator.setAppBadge` is undefined (MDN compatibility table, checked 2026-10-03).
- Follows Chrome for Android: the badge is shown only for installed web apps and depends on launcher support.
